– If you try to create new Outlook profile, profile cannot find the mailbox. On the log tab, auto discovery failed with error 0x800c8204 – CTRL+Right click on Outlook icon on the right corner on ask bar, click “Test e-mail Auto Configuration”. If you click reconnect it does not even try new Exchange 2016 server – CTRL+Right click on Outlook icon on the right corner on ask bar, connections status window shows that Outlook is connected to old Exchange 2010 server as Directory connection but no any other connection (mail) to new Exchange 2016 server. You moved the mailbox from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2016 but now outlook cannot connect Exchange 2016 server. Applies to Outlook 2016, Exchange 2016 CU 9
